District Assessments and Wordly Wise Tests

IT'S THAT TIME.....District Assessments....YEAH!!!!

The students will be taking the District Assessments in writing and math next week. The writing test will be on Tuesday, October 23rd.

The math test will be on Wednesday, October 24th. ( The best day of the year because it is my birthday, Smile)

Wordly Wise: Lesson 4 Test will be Thursday, October 25th.

Remember if you have not already done so, join the PTA!!! We are trying to win the grade level competition with 100% participation.

Progress Report

Due to the fact, that the 5th grade science test was postponed. Progress Reports will be passed out to the students Tuesday, October 16th. Look for those papers to come home tomorrow. Review their progress report, sign it, and return to me. Thank you.

5th grade Science Test and Picture Day

The fifth grades are going to have a science test Friday, October 12th. The test will cover Chapter 1: Cells.

Picture Day is tomorrow, October 10th. Please make sure your child comes to school in common dress. Also, if you ordered pictures online please have your child bring the receipt with them to school tomorrow.

Progress Reports are going to be passed out to students Monday, October 15th. Please review, sign, and return the progress report when you receive it. Thanks so much.

Also, if you have not joined PTA please do so, we need 100% completion from our class. So, if you have not joined please do so, all funds raised by the PTA support our school. 

Awww Science Camp is over and Project/Test Dates

A Special Thank You to all the parents who donated books to our class library we appreciate it greatly and love reading all the new novels.

The 5th grade students had a wonderful time at Walden West Science Camp. Hopefully, this has made the 4th graders excited  and ready for next year. But now it is back to the daily grind of school.

Friday, October 5th: 5th graders need to turn in their rough draft for the science camp narrative.

Tuesday, October 9th: 4th graders will be having their second science test. This test will cover Chapter 2 in the Science textbook.

For 5th Grade Parents: Science Camp

Science camp is the week of September 24th. Please submit $275 and all necessary paperwork by Friday, September 21st. If your child takes any medication ( including epi-pens and skin creams for excema), we must have the goldenrod paper from the Walden West packet completed by a doctor or we are not authorized to give them their medication.

Please label all luggage and sleeping bags with your child's name and Northwood. Those items are taken separately to Walden West.

Your child needs a bag lunch for Monday. Please pack only what they will eat; your child is not allowed to keep food in the cabin even snacks. Anything extra will be thrown away, so only pack what your child can eat.

Adding and Subtracting Decimals; Place Value; Rounding Decimals

4th grade: Topics 1 and 12

5th grade: Topics 1 and 2
